Is Stress Responsible for Nation's Ills? Simple Technique May Provide
Solution
Stress is now associated with most serious diseases and illnesses, and
according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
(NIOSH), job stress is more strongly associated with health complaints
than family or financial problems.
Also, anger contributes to accidents that cause injury. That sounds
obvious, but no one tested the connection until researchers at the
University of Missouri - Columbia found that anger doubles the risk of
injury. Their study of emergency room patients was published in the
Annals of Family Medicine.
What surprised researchers was the high level of irritability, anger,
and hostility in their control group. "We live in a very angry
society," observes Professor Dan Vinson, the study's primary author.
'The game of life has gotten more challenging,' says Life Coach Pamela
Bruner, 'and most people can't play their best because of stress,
anger, and anxiety. With EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) that can
change.'
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a groundbreaking self-healing tool
may be the missing link in the battle against the current stress
epidemic. EFT enhances any stress management protocol because it
balances the body's energy meridians, or chi, and addresses unresolved
emotional issues quickly and easily. Conventional stress management
tools largely ignore this energy-based approach.
Bruner, a Certified Life Coach, EFT Advanced Practitioner, and Celtic
harpist, is offering a workshop called 'Ultimate Calm and Serenity' on
May 3rd from 10am-5pm at Serenity Lakes in Lawrenceville, GA. Bruner
will teach participants EFT, as well as other effective stress
management techniques, and conclude with a Celtic harp concert at
7:30pm.
'With the current state of health care, and the economy, there has
never been a greater need for a stress management technique that may
both help prevent illness, and help people make smart decisions about
the future,' Bruner says. 'EFT is that technique.'

FREE WEIGHT-LOSS WORKSHOP USES ACUPRESSURE TECHNIQUE
Pamela Bruner wants to help you lose weight - not by starving yourself
or by following a specific diet, but by tapping on your head.
"Don't laugh," she says. "The method I teach is called
EFT, which stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. It takes just a
few minutes of tapping on key acupuncture points while you focus your
thoughts, and the next thing you know, your craving for chocolate or
potato chips has disappeared."
According to Bruner, a certified life coach and EFT
advanced practitioner, cravings - like other problems in life - are
caused by an energy imbalance in the body. "EFT is based on the
5000-year-old theories for acupuncture, but we don't use any needles,"
she explains. "Tapping releases energy blocks, and whatever you focus
your thoughts on while tapping gets released at the same time. I've
seen people eliminate cravings in minutes. We also work on the
underlying emotions, so the cravings don't come back."
Bruner will spend Thursday afternoon, July 17th, 2008,
demonstrating the technique from 4-6 p.m., in a special workshop
called Freedom from Food Cravings and Weight-Loss Worries! at the
Hendersonville Public Library. The demonstration is free.
"Bring your favorite foods," she says, "and we'll see if,
like most people, you tap your craving away in less than five
minutes."
